Why I Write

I write this blog because one thing that is clear to me while I read the Bible is that walking with Jesus always involves being part of a community of believers, where each member identifies with the others and each member helps the others grow closer to Jesus. God wants us to learn from each other and share with each other everything that God is doing in His peoples lives.

Given that God's plan is for all His people to learn from each other, this blog is an excellent way for me to share my experiences and to make known some insights that I have picked up in my journey with Jesus so far. Also it is an opportunity for others to look into glimpses of my walk with Jesus and share with me concerns, comments and encouragements about my walk, if God calls them to do so. This blog is my attempt to be a witness and share things I've learned, but also to invite others from the Christian community to be a witness to my journey.

As I write I also have in mind that there are many of my loved ones who are my younger brothers and sisters in Christ and are travelling down roads in their lives where I have already been. I hope that me sharing about my interaction with Jesus, as He walked with me on those roads, will help guide them and encourage them to interact with Jesus more closely, as Jesus walks with them as well. I hope to hear from you so that our interaction will not be in one direction but will be an exchange through which I too can learn and grow. I pray for you that God's victories in my life will be further evidence of His strength so that you can trust Him more freely in your lives as well. I also pray that my mistakes and failures will be a warning to you about how dangerously easy it is to ignore God and try to run your own life. I pray that God uses this blog to draw your closer to Him, cause I know my words certainly do not have that ability, unless God uses them.

I am also aware that, some who read this blog will be people who do not hold to the same faith that I have and either reject who Jesus claimed to be or haven't yet trusted Jesus with their life. To you I want to let know that you too are most welcome here. I understand that some of the things that I write in my posts might not make sense to you, or you might want to question some of my inherent assumptions. I encourage you to Get in Touch with me and ask me those questions. I would love an opportunity to respond to your desire to understand me.

I most definitely recognize that regardless of what I think the reasons for this blog are, God's plans are way beyond mine and way different than mine. He can use this however He sees fit, to the Glory of His own Name. As with everything else in my life, my desire is that this too brings Glory to Jesus, for He alone deserves it. Let Him be praised forever and forever.
